DownloadThe purpose of the Community Grant Fund is to support community projects that may not otherwise come to fruition due to financial constraints. Projects that help student organizations meet goals, projects that beautify the community, and projects that encourage healthy growth are priorities of this fund.
All grant funds have been distributed for 2023 ($17,611.88). Below are the organizations that received funding in 2023. The Community Grant fund is funded by net profits made from the Hells Canyon Jam. The Hells Canyon Jam is on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Upper Country Education Foundation requested funds to assist the Cambridge School District in the infrastructure necessary to secure the vestibule access and provide surveillance cameras. The goal of this project is to provide additional security to the schools.
Project Cost: $42,046.88 ($40,000 funded by Safety Grant from the State of Idaho), requested $2,046.88

Cambridge Museum requested funds to bring the internet into the Museum and purchase a GPS device. It is an essential element to continue work for research, publications, and exhibit preparations, as well as to update their operational software to a web-based level. Because of the current complexity of defining locations, a GPS record is now required in cemetery records, mines, structures, ect.
Project Cost: $1175
Project was funded in full on 9/28/23.
Cambridge Senior Citizens requested funds to have the back parking lot sealed and striped for the preservation of the area and safety of their senior membership. Several large cracks needed to be filled and the whole lot sealed to prevent further degradation of the area. The amount requested will allow for the filling of cracks, sealing the lot, and re-striping parking spaces and a handicap accessible parking space plus new wheel stops.

Cambridge PTSA requested funds to improve the school playground.The total cost of the project is $100,000. The CCC agreed to purchase two picnic tables ($1200 each) and a basketball hoop ($1000).

Cambridge Rodeo Association requested a grant to help pay for a new water system for the additional arena being installed prior to the 2024 season primarily for the use of the Rodeo Bible Camp and the High School Rodeos. The water system will ensure that we have good dust control, as well as safer ground conditions for the children to practice and perform their rodeo events on.
Project Cost: $13,000
Project was partially funded, $6500, in September 2023
Tri Valley Titan Little League Program requested funds to purchase an overhead door for the storage unit and shelving which is built into the field. This organization is going on their third year in the process of making a universal baseball field. The field can accommodate Coach Pitch, Minor, and Major teams. They currently have over 70 kids in the little league program.
